5. Many or Expensive
We are still trying to reduce ambiguity. And thus the use of ‘many’ or ‘expensive’ can still be said to be foul speech.
Please use numbers instead of these words. To always be correct avoid the exact number (example 123) but the rough number (example about a hundred)
Sample 1
Wrong statement: Your phone is expensive. Please stop suggesting it to me.
Why is this Response Foul Statement: One might begin to think it costs 6 times the cost of the speaker’s phone. For it might just be twice because of the inclusion of 5G radio. In the same conversation, what would “that car is expensive” allude to.
Sample 2
Wrong Statement: It takes many people to create this object so I can’t make it.
Why is this Response Foul Statement: If the speaker is a builder it might be talking of about 100 builders. If the speaker is a factory man he might be talking of about 3000 factory men (because of components and transporters). And if the speaker is a programmer he might be talking of 20 men.
